The locals are friendly and helpful, and if the need to get back in touch with technology really gets to you there is even a reasonably priced internet cafe.

On wet days you can go ten pin bowling and play the latest interactive games at Dingle World of Leisure, or go to the gym and then relax in the state of the art Turkish steam room. It has lots of activities for the kids, too.

Visit the Marine World where you can see sharks, turtles, sting rays and all kinds of sea life close up. There is even a petting pool where many of the fish love to come to the surface to be stroked.

In 1983 a wild Bottlenose Dolphin chose to make Dingle Harbour his home. There are boat trips to see FUNGIE the Dolphin every day, all day. Or you can book in advance and go swimming with him.

Also recommended : ECO TOURS, a 2 hour boat trip around the Dingle Peninsula incorporating not only archaeology, geology and wildlife but a fund of fascinating stories from local folklore.
